April saw SRPS members compete for their annual Landscape Cup, with a great range of images. This particular competition is usually adjudicated externally, and the society was very pleased to welcome Sue Churchill, who did an excellent job of judging the images. At the same time she provided valuable feedback and constructive pointers to each and every member to enable them to hone their skills.
Images had been drawn from far and wide, and locations varied from Stamford area, other parts of the UK and even one or two international destinations.
The individual and group competitions were won by Peter Hallam who beautifully captured dramatic sky with reflections and mountains.
Tom Carlill was second in both competitions with a range of local images
John Hillier was 3rd joint in the individual and 3rd in the group with a wide range of subject including sunsets, ice sheets and snowy vistas.
Veronica Watson was 3rd joint in the individual and 4rd in the group with a collection of snowy mountains and dynamic skies.
