October Meeting 2018

The October competition theme for the Stamford and Rutland Photographic Society was Open, meaning that each photographer could choose a subject of their own with an individual picture and a group of 4 pictures

1st in the individual and joint 4th in the group was Sue West with a dramatic range of sunflower pictures taken near Market Deeping.

Tom Carlill was 2nd in the individual and 3rd in the group. Tom’s pictures captured the action from this year’s Burghley Horse trails.

Gordon Brown was 3rd in the individual and 2nd in the group with photos of dancers captured in various stages of action.

Veronica Watson was 4th in the individual competition and 1st in the group. Veronica captured a very colourful set of butterflies.

Robin Pearson was joint 4th in the group competition with a selection of vintage vehicles from this year’s Little Casterton Working Weekend

 

September Meeting – 2018

Curves
 
The September competition theme was Curves
 
1st in the individual was Tom Carlill who captured the curved loop in the Ingoldmells rollercoaster. His group also came 1st and covered a range of curves from different holiday destinations.

John Hillier was 2nd in the individual and 3rd in the group. His individual picture has airlines crossing within the curves of a sculpture in Barcelona
 
David Harris was 3rd in the individual and 4th in the group. His individual pictures was the curved smoke from an aircraft display at RAF Waddington
 
St.John Burkett was 4th in the individual competition with a curved path to the waterfalls at Plitvice in Croatia
