The Stamford and Rutland Photographic Society held their competition in September with the theme of Open, giving the photographers the opportunity to show any subject.
Tom Carlill was 1st in the individual and group with pictures of a paint, throwing dancer from a photography event in aid of Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough
Veronica Watson came 2nd in both competitions with images of horse from Iceland. The images were noticeable for the clarity of detail on the horses and the quality of the monochrome effect
Julie Coles was 3rd in the Individual and joint 4th in the group with a series of pictures showing the dramatic encounter of two herons and their reflections in the water
Sam Stubbs took 4th place in individual competition and 3rd in the group competition with pictures of cream and pink flowers. The lighting and composition of the flowers showed the detail within the flowers
StJohn Burkett was joint 4th in the group competition with a collection of striking silhouettes from a range of locations
